sarniaguy New Member Canada 33 Posts	Posted 08/19/2006 1:05 pm Hi all...was wondering if there was any special history on these coins I have...or what kind of values there are to these... Here's the list: 1896 Canadian (Newfoundland Victoria) 20 cents 1914 and 1941 Canadaian 50 cents 1935 Canadian 5 cents I also have some one cent peices from 1911 through 1920. bromac Valued Member Canada 195 Posts	Posted 08/19/2006 9:22 pm 1914 50¢ is fairly rare with prices starting at $30.00 for VG and getting into the thousands for AU and better.If you can do pictures we would be very interested in seeing them. None of those pictures have any of the coins you described in your initial post. I was specifically looking for the 1914 50¢ piece you mentioned and also the 1935 nickel. Didn't see those over there. I do have a website I use frequently however for price comparison. http://www.colonialacres.com/home.shtml 1896 Canadian (Newfoundland Victoria) 20 cents - $16.oo 1914 and 1941 Canadaian 50 cents - $10.oo and $8.oo 1935 Canadian 5 cents - $1.5o I also have some one cent peices from 1911 through 1920 - .5o¢-$1.oo All prices are CAD. The cents could go higher depending on their grades. I didn't notice any pics of them on your website. So, there is nothing that is going to put you into early retirement but still a nice little collection of coins. Since I have started on the nickels first that one caught my eye. Thanks for the input Irish International Coin Certification Service Toronto, Ontario M4S 1Z9 416-488-8620 A Canadian based grading company. They authenticate & grade all Canadian Coins. bromac Valued Member Canada 195 Posts	Posted 08/20/2006 7:54 pm The most interesting coins to me are the 1914 50¢ and the Newfondland 20¢. It's hard to grade only seeing one side but I think they are both in the $30.00 range. ICCS charges $15.00 per coin up to 5 coins and $10.00 if you have 6 or more. Plus shipping and registration both ways.In my opinion these coin are not worth enough to warrant TPG. Grading circulated coins is not that hard.
