due to the world being full of thieves and unsavouy characters and also being a past victim of crime I will refrain from answering this question and advise others to think carefully before they reply (remember that if you have bought from ebay then someone may know your address and telling them what you have could be asking for un necessary problems )

Don't tell anyone where you bought the coin(s) in question.There aren't many real rarities in the Aussie pre-decimal series apart from the classic ones - 1930 1d.,1916I 1/2d. with Indian 1/4 Anna obverse,1921 Star 1/-,,1939 Kangaroo reverse 1/2d.,1922 2 over 1 overdate 3d.,1852 Adelaide Pounds,the 1932 2/-, & the 34-35 Melbourne Centenary 2/-.

1920 dot above (bottom scroll) penny with London obverse (about half a dozen known). This was only the second found when I discovered it in 2003.

1945Y proof penny, not sure of the mintage, probably about 6 to 12. Purchased in 2006.

I keep all my coins in a safe deposit box.....

Grouse12,I did have a cleaned example of the Aussie 1938 Crown, but it was stolen when my flat was broken into back in 2002 in a random robbery when I wasn't home.Eventually,I will get another one.

This is a little out of place on a coin forum, but it's in the same vein as this thread: My most valuable item is a WWI Iron Cross 2nd class that my great grandfather earned during that war. A close second is an 1877-S Shield Sov in EF, which was the very, very, very first gold sovereign that I ever owned.
