Yay, 10 pages! It only took 10 months! I decided to try some quarters today $150 Fed Wrapped no silver no proofs 5 BU coins-72, 84, and three state quarters-in pristine condition, look like they came out of someones collection.

A beat up 1946 from six rolls today for work from the bank. Only the fourth silver I have found in rolls - and we go through probably a box a week!

After searching one box, I found no silver and no Canadians but not all was lost, however. I did finally find an Olympic National Park quarter to add to my set (now I'm waiting on Chicksaw and Vicksburg to finish 2011).

I own two, both are 1964. One a teller held back, and one a friend of mine found it at work for me. I was really surprised when she said she found it because it was only a day after I told here about them.

Got a box this weekend (my first) to through with my 6 year old during Irene. We were matching State Quarters to a large map puzzle. Surprisingly, we found a 64'. I also found 3 Mt Hood, a Yosemite and a Gettysburg. Not bad and killed a few hours during the storm.

My searches through quarters have generally been unsuccessful in finding silver, until today. Today, as I went to the same bank I found two rolls of silver halves, the teller informed me she had some old dimes and quarters she wanted to get rid of. I peeked over the counter to see that they were two envelopes full of silver. I bought them at the face value of $15.75 and boy I was like a kid in a candy store when I examined them later: *42 silver Washingtons! (Dates include 1939, 1940-S, 1941, 1942, '42-S, 44, 46, and a mix of dates from 1951-64) But the best part was, and I can't believe I found one of these, an 1893 Barber quarter! This is my first non-Washington silver quarter from circulation!

I go roll by roll and skim the edge of a roll, if I see silver I pull it out immediately if not I search the coins one by one for different things I keep really nice AU examples of pre-state quarter quarters 65-98 then I also pull out ATB Quarters and Territory quarters foreign stuff I keep too as long as it isn't canadian (I live so close to canada I get tons of them) have fun and take your time. It might take a few boxes to get some silver. Keep us posted

GooGoo, you have a messenger? Anyways. No silver but! I did see a no corroded edge...to my delight. Winter Arab Emirates...Coffee pot on back bottom looks to say 1190- 1E10...Sorta. Anyone know what this is? Seems that half are 1998 and half are State Quarters. Was fun..And quick too. Not interesting in filling slots till I get my album in.

Shavill, what you have there is a one Dirham coin from the United Arab Emirates. It is worth.....wait for it.....wait for it.....27 cent at current exchange rates. What you have there is a neat coin that has had to travel a long way to get to your hands :-)
