I don't know about the others, I don't really want to waste my guess on a false turn now seeing that I can't make it any helpful.

False ones are helpful, since they are LIES and must all be false for your next guess to be at all valid.

I just got in and reading through the day's posts. I have a question and I hope to get the truth about the lies. Each response to a guess consists of two portions, the number correct and the number in the correct position. Are each of these portions treated separately and you respond with two lies, or is the response given as one lie and one of the portions could actually be correct?

Pluggin' 'em in a spreadsheet and just giving an answer - priceless. Have to look them up first - not so priceless.
Getting the truth about my guess - priceless Getting lied to about my effort - worthless :P
