Picked this up at a recent show; it was sitting in the junk silver tray with a $4 price tag. I know the Type B reverse quarters are worth a premium in uncirculated grades, but what about circulated coins? Are they worth any more than a generic silver quarter?

they do not seem to fetch much of a premium even in BU condition. I see most bu type Bs not selling for $25 on ebay. guess there is just a bunch out there now since everyone is bringing out the old silver.

$5.00 bucks for most circs. Circ. 1956 and 1963 a little more. Unc. 56/63 20 to 25 dollars. The 1964-D type C rev. brings a nice premium.

$5.00 is barely above melt today ($4.85 @ $26.82) and is melt when silver is at $27.65. It is a little sad to see some of the formerly minor premium coins failing to pace with spot and becomming nothing more than bulk silver. I guess it also means that we can turn true bulk silver into some pretty nice coins because they now sell for spot.

I grab up type B's whenever I find them cheap, even if they don't have much of a premium. Ever since I found out about them, I feel like my Washington quarter collection won't be complete until I have them all. Maybe they'll be listed in the Red Book someday too?

My understanding is that unless the type b's are ms-63 or better you dont get much for them. Due to the fact that the type's are common ,more and more keep showing up and make people even wonder if maybe the typeb's are just as common as the reg buss strike coins

Hey Indian1, 1963 Rev B quarters seem to be the most common around the Florida area. Next most common seem to be the 1957. True the 1956 is the toughest, along with the 1964D Rev C. Regards, Harvey
