Hi - I'm trying to find out the resale value of a coins set I inherited. It's a Silver 2000 Australian Lunar Dragon 5 Coin set that includes a 1K 30AUD coin, a 10oz 10AUD Coin, a 2oz 2AUD coin, a 1oz 1AUD coin, and a 1/2 oz .50AUD coin. The 5-coin set is in a black case and all are .999 silver and each coin is in a plastic coin holder. I'd like to sell it ASAP via e-bay or at a coin shop but don't want to under sell it. I am not a coin collector so I don't know where to find out it's value - is there anyone that can help point me in the right direction?

According to the 2010 edition of Greg McDonald's Australian Coin and Banknotes the 5 coins set is worth about $1,200 retail.

Well yes you are correct that is what the 2010 guide says, but that book was written 12 months ago & silver was about 18,19 $$ an oz,will be interesting to see what the 2011 guide says when it comes out in about a week.
At the present bullion price http://www.kitco.com/market/aud_charts.html it is worth about $1450 just as bullion.
