I just pulled this out of a roll. You should have seen my excitement! Anyway, is this a proof? Is it worth more than melt value?

It is a proof and you can tell by the feathers on the small eagle on the reverse. It would be worth more than melt but it has been circulated so only a couple bucks more if you find a buyer.

you know, I have found the same year in a proof when I was roll searching. Hmm I got mine from a box in NC.

Why would someone dump a beautiful and old proof coin? It's not like the face value of these coins is $10 or $20! Oh well, one man's trash is another man's treasure! Unless silver soars a lot higher I am going to keep this one!
