Quote: I'm likin' that Chicago note jlg.... three digit notes are far and few between... star or not... another nice bunch of notes.... Thank you, Zee. That's very kind of you to say. The Chicago note, and the '09 B* that I just got, are probably my favorite, of the FRN stars that I have.

Another star question... What is the difference between the solid versus hollowed out stars (other than the obvious)?

Quote: I too really like that 3 digit star! Thanks, Nick! Yep, it's a cool one, alright. I also have another 3 digit note ('06 series, Atlanta FN block, I think) serial 00000995, but it's not a star. So, it'll have to sit this thread out!

Aw, come on jlg, I would like to see low numbers even if they are not stars.... Actually, low numbers are far scarcer than stars (in my opinion), and way cooler too.... Come on, show it (or them.... I will if you will).... I don't have a lot of them, but I do have a few.... I doubt that either Nickelman or the Mods will take disciplinary action on us if we throw a few into the mix.... I'll do the first one right now....

Neat note Foolsgold.... there are a few in circulation, as Bryan illustrates profusely..... I really like that 1996 $20 note Bryan.... one of the earliest big head stars. I kinda like the fact that we are starting to get some color into the notes finally.... the new $10 notes like the one Foolsgold just posted are quite pretty in hand...

I don't want this thread to go to far afield, but here are a couple of my low SN's: Series 1969 $1 San Fran Series '06 $1 Atlanta Oh, and beautiful $100 National, by the way.

Bryan I'm curious, what date and series are the $20 notes your scanner refuses to scan and what type of scanner is it?
This is a subject I have been wondering about. I refuse to do updates to my HP scanner for just this reason. I am convinced that sooner or later they will slip in an update that causes it to stop scanning new notes.

You have some very nice notes, Zee. I love the $1 USN, and Hawaii star. Those are two notes that I would really love to have, someday. They seem to be pricey in the higher grades, though.
