Thought I'd dig up some of the stars collection. Here are the larger denominations (all found in change at face, so no CU, sorry!). More to come.

And, of course, some $1 bills: And that's all I've got so far. Still looking for more all the time!

I've got to ask. In some of these posts, notes are listed as 8 known or 11 known, etc. Where can that info be found? Thanks.

Rick, there are a few folks who maintain census data on US banknotes..... You might try googling "Track and Price" or "Gengerke Census" to locate the more popular ones. If you like 'old western' towns like Tombstone Arizona or Dodge City Kansas, you might like to delve into National Bank Notes...... I have a friend who feels that this TV show "Gunsmoke" is based on actual events..... I get so mad, and we argue profusely over such nonsense..... Sure there was a Longbranch Saloon and a Boothill Cemetery, but the folks who made names for themselves there weren't Matt Dillon, Miss Kitty or Festus Hagan..... They were Wyatt Earp, Doc Holiday, Bat Masterson, etc. Here is one note that got out of Dodge alive.... one of only six large size notes to remain in existence today... This one (3357) is the highest known serial number..... Old and nasty, a bit later in period than the gunslinger days, but I still like it.

Thanks for the info Zeewool. Nice note, too! Considering that at the time, that was probably a months wages for the average guy, that bill would not have seen so much use and be in better condition.

Nice note zee. Since I saw this revived I figured I would add my latest star to the mix.
