I'm guessing that maybe no one wants to sell what they have.

Why are you comparing availability of a variety that has only been really discussed in the open for 2-3 years, versus one that has been searched for over 60 years? Would you really expect anything different?

It's so far like the 1906 small crown 25c. Mostly picks from scrap. Rolls of low grade collected and now yielding an unexpected nugget.
Where are the high grade lottery winners?
It seems odd that 100x near 2 prices hasn't shaken the tree more than we've seen.
It's sad that stickers and glued on bugs have all the attention.

A few high grade coins were cherry-picked a couple of years ago, before this variety started receiving more attention. I know a collector with two or more in mint state condition....

@ SPP-Ottawa,
I am comparing with 5 cents 1926 Far 6 because nowadays, with internet and many sites, 5 years are equivalent to 50 years ( between 1950 and 2000 ) in term of efficiency in searchs and communications.

Quite a bold assumption, exactly where are you getting an order of magnitude of difference from?
