I'm kinda looking at this the same way rikcando. Just looking at different letter possibilities, or impossibilities. I've been able to break some of it up into words, Just need to figure out some more letters and then rinse/repeat.

I am about half way through my list of 529 common 3 letter words. I have gone through thousands of combinations, looked at hundreds of possibilities. I can get words to fit into the first four words, and most of those lined up with VPSRJJ, but none yet have filled in anything legible into YGPRJGKRNFGZ. But not giving up.
Nice to hear I am not alone in the fight. Best of luck to you.

If anyone else is looking at starting here, you may consider the following.
We already know that J=S. In section 5, if we remove the DGV FMHR from the end you are left with 6 letter that end in SS (JJ). This section would be a 6 letter word, a 2 letter word and a 4 letter word, or a 5 letter word preceded by either an I or an A. I do not know any word that ends in SS that is not preceded by a vowel, so 'R' must be a vowel.
Section 7 ends in SS. This is a double letter ending to a word but we know it is not an S. The S must represent one of "ABDEFGILOR". If you know any words that end in double letters other than these, I'd love to know.
Edit: it keeps changing my 'R' to are.

we were really looking at the same things.
You can add PP or ZZ as possible endings too, though with the word length I don't think it's either zz or pp. keeping them in the back of my head though.

ZZ ! How could I have forgotten ZZ! PP though? Really? You obviously have a better vocabulary than I.

well there's only like 4 words that end in pp, and besides the slang "schlepp", they are very rare words, so I pretty much eliminated PP
ZZ is possible, but there would be quite a few Z's in this puzzle then which that seem not probable.
Z really isn't a common letter

Hint # 17: (Since you guys are working HARD at this!) There is one "Z" in the decoded quote.

Hint # 18: There are NO "J", "K", "Q", or "X" in the decoded quote.

That actually helps, I had found that 4 letters weren't used, just didn't know which 4
Z= E or O. If it's o that helps me a bit, if it's E, I'm still wondering in the woods naked and don't know how I got there.

Ok, I found the problem I had copied it all into a spreadsheet but a few of the columns had a zero width so I could not see them.
