I hope you have come to enjoy the game as much as you have in search of the prize. However, both types of players are equally welcomed. In this game the players guess a group of currencies using their internationally recognized symbols. Our list today has 168 different currencies and commodities. From this list I have carefully selected seven (7) symbol which have been placed in a specific order. Guess the proper symbols in the correct order and the prize is yours. There is also a small consolation prize for the person to first correctly all seven (7) symbols in one guess, regardless of their order. Playing is simple. You select seven symbols and post them to this forum thread. I will respond with two numbers. The first number is equal the number of correct symbols that you have guessed, whether they are in the correct position or not. The second number is equal the number of correct symbols that you have guessed that are in the correct order. It is up to the players to use these responses to figure out which symbols do not belong in which places. Previous games have include tutorials and ideas on how to help solve this game, so if you are not familiar with the way this works it would be a good idea to review past performances. Since there is a considerable amount of symbols to eliminate, beginning on Sunday night all players are allowed to make two (2) guesses each on each of the first two days. There shall be only one guess per post. There shall be a minimum of at least one hour between these guesses on the first two days. At approximately 9pm Tuesday I will post a hint to further help eliminate some of the symbols. A second hint will be offered on Wednesday night about the same time if all seven symbols have not yet been posted within a single legitimate guess. Beginning Tuesday at 9pm, those players still eligible to play will be allowed one guess every twenty four (24) hours. Players may make their guess at any time, however they must wait at least 24 hours before posting their next guess. The only exception to this is for the purpose of correcting an illegitimate guess or in the case of a Final Guess (see rule #5 below). Rules:Now for the fine print. All rules are subject to clarification if necessary but shall not be changed outright. No additional rules will be added, no rules removed, no persons excepted. 1) All CCF members that have at least 50 posts, or have been a member for at least 3 months, or can count to ten (10) without any mechanical or electronic assistance will be permitted to participate in this game. (Those required to count to ten must do so in a post prior to offering a guess) 2) Any guess that is found to be incorrectly typed, whether by spelling or by an incorrect number of symbols will need to be reposted correctly. 3) Any guess that is edited will not be responded to. (see rule #2) 4) The Weavus rule shall be closely adhered to. The weavus rule states that players are required to rib, heckle, and otherwise generate wise-cracks. No person shall be able to win a prize lest they also make at least one non-guess post prior to winning said prize. 5) Any player may at any time after Tuesday 9pm make a Final Guess. This is a post that contains the words 'Final Guess' and is followed by seven listed symbols. This guess shall be the final guess that player may make in the game, win or lose. A Final Guess is still eligible for the consolation prize. 6) Any player NOT submitting at least two (2) guess posts during the first two days (48 hours) will be eliminated. This is very important. I will post a list at 9pm forum time Tuesday with a list of eligible players. This is part one of my sniper rule. 7) Any player going more than forty eight (48) hours without making a guess will be eliminated. This is part two of my sniper rule. Summary: Game begins Sunday, 9pm. First 2 days, 2 guesses each. After 2nd day, 1 guess per player at least 24 hours apart. Weavus rule in effect. Final guess rule in effect. Be gone for 48 hours and you are gone from game. Don't edit your guess, repost. Have fun. Symbol list: I have formatted this to make it easier to copy and paste into your favorite application.
