Been buying from the mint every year We could afford too. We had to sell some coins and will pay taxes on our profit. I am now looking for information on the original cost of the items we sold. I was shocked when I found out that the 1997 FDR sets we sold for $1400.00 only cost us $350.00. What a return in about 13 years and the fun you can have collecting. I never really considered the cost or what I spent. My wife would ask how much I spent and would comment. As years went by and she saw my interest in coins it became a easy buy for my birthday and Christmas gifts from the Mint. Soon my children and grandchildren added to the Mint gift list. I now realize the value at the right time when I have personal needs. Yes the beauty of this hobby is a rewarding experience. TenSense thanks for the heads up on the Red Book.
