Hi All Do you think I'm close at MS-65? This coin is one of the nicest ones I have I changed lighting trying to get a good picture of the luster. But, it didnt work so well.

I think the mark coming out paralel of the nose on the cheek will keep it from MS-65, that is one place where marks keep the grade down and that mark is very distracting. It may grade a 64 but I think that mark will keep it from 64. it may not even grade as high as 64 but that wasn't the question

I can tell the pics are hiding luster so if it has enough luster I'd say MS64.Not 65.

From the pic provided, I would say a 63. Bryan is right about that hit right next to the nose being distracting. 64 is a possibilty, but I can't tell from the pics what the luster is like. If you are having a hard time capturing the luster try taking the picture using just sunlight. I use sunlight all the time and this is how they turn out:

Sunlight is brutal for revealing marks, as well - that's why I tend to grade your coins a little high, Christina - if they're that clean in sunlight, they're clean.

The original coin posted, in my opinion, is an easy 64 but not quite 65 in today's strict grading atmosphere. I've seen similar in 65 slabs, though.
