I've found these hangers only in the 1950's and 60's. I'd be interested to hear if people have found this particular type in other dates.

Hi Cubro99,
Yes, I think that your 1995 is a Die Clash.
For Georges VI, it is possible to find Die Clash, for all dates of 1, 5 and 50 cents, but it is very difficult to find Die Clash for 10 and 25 cents.
We can also find " doubles and triples Die Clash " : these clash are rarer and have a greater interest for collectors.

Nice. I'm thinking that the image in coinsandcanada of the penny near the bottom of that page where the inner Queen image is orange is probably the one that explains the double-looking-effects of noses, foreheads, chins and backs that I especially find on the 1979's and 1978's then.
Do any of you agree that could be the case?
Looks like a transitional clash between when they may have changed the scale size of that Queen portrait? I have to google to find out what year they changed the scale.

Those overlay images sure make it easier to see things and help know where and what to look for!

Hey nancyc, maybe some time down the road when I can do this, I can send you some Canadian pennies. My little gift to you in Oz :) But I'd like to add your name to my list of those I'd like to send to sometime when I can who can't easily get at Canadian cents in their own country :)

Hi za75 It seems you are trying to answer a question from one of my old topics. If you have an image of a George VI die clash cent, I would enjoy seeing it. But that link only shows composites which is helpful to understand what a die clash is. What it doesn't show is the actual effects of a die clash, such as which areas are visible and which ones are not.
I have about 20 die clash quarters from 2006, they seem to be common ;)
