My first

I searched through the 7 rolls I have.
Too bad I didn't find it in the "plus" roll
Oh well, fun to find!

Very nice. I have yet to find a RPM. Only so many US cents are circulated in my area. I keep looking though. I have a plastic container of US cents sitting in front of me now. Just trying to decide if I want to start going through them tonight or wait till tomorrow. Hoping for something interesting. Canadian cents are really starting to bore me lately. So much more to look for with US coins.

Hey Cladhunter- I bet Canadian coins have more varieties than you'd think- to the best of my understanding, your country's coinage has been studied for die varieties to a much lesser extent than US coins. And every US variety had to be discovered at one time or another. Who knows what's just sitting at your local bank?

Thanks Scooby. Funny that just yesterday I was not really interested in this stuff. Now I'm watching the clock to get home!!

Question: BIE die breaks are obvious right?

Welcome to our world!

BIE breaks come on many forms. BIIE, IBIE, IBIIE, IBEI, well you get the point.

They were all the craze back in the day, from what I understand.

Only 20 minutes :)

I read this about the 56D RPM1 on doubledie.com
Thought I should watch out for them but there is so much to watch out for.

Quote:
Comments: Late die state specimens of this variety also have a BIE die break and command higher premiums than earlier die states without the BIE error.

Oh look only 18 minutes!

Diamonds are common ... in diamond fields

Considering how many cents Chuck has I'm not surpised he sees a lot.

I went through 6 rolls of 1957D and found 5 or 6. Here's the better one.

That was the first RPM I found and probably a lot of others have found this one first. Just an easy spot.
