Ahh...I get it. No need to explain further...and you are correct - this would be a big find in circulation.

I still think it's a 1922D, and my reason for that is because of the thickness of the 19 and how thin the 2 is. This really only happened in 1922. I cannot be certain, but what I am certain of is that any MORE images isn't really going to help. You've done the best you can revealing the digit that's pretty much not there to reveal.

Yes, that too is possible. One thing for sure is I have rulled out an O or CC Mint Mark.
Think of this. You could put that coin in any one of the ones mentioned here and who could say your wrong.
