Found this in circulation a few years ago. Is this a case of PMD?

My first thought is PMD but it also could be a strike through.

Thanks, John1. Excuse my ignorance, but what is a strike through?

I just realized that there is a glossary of terms here!

"struck thru
An error caused by a foreign object that got between the dies and the planchet when a coin was struck. A common Struck through error is a piece of wire that leaves an indentation that is usually mistaken for a scratch."

An image of the reverse will help to determine if it is an error or PMD.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong at all with the overlays- to the contrary(sometimes my lack of inflection is misunderstood). I'm pretty well versed in die varieties, but NOT a tech-savvy guy! I find it impressive how the smart people here figure out things I never could without having the coin in my own hands. I learn stuff on the forum all the time, thanks everybody.
