Very nice 1900Indian! You've got a choice 1880 that matches your 1879 nicely!

Thanks, I really need to work on my photo taking skills though. How do you get your pics so clear and really bring out the true color of the coin? Granted I'm working with a Sony cypershot, so that could be part of the problem. If you had the 1880 coin in hand it has full diamond detail, but you can't tell from the pics. My goal is to complete a whole set of Indians in nice chocolate color VF's to EF's.

Quote: How do you get your pics so clear and really bring out the true color of the coin? A lot of trial and error. My camera setup is a Canon 30D dSLR camera with a Tamron 90mm macro lens. You are using a point-and-shoot camera, but that doesn't mean it's impossible to take great coin pics. There are members here that take amazing photos without breaking the bank in camera gear. Here's a wonderfully toned '81 Proof Indian from my 7070. I DO see a fingerprint on the obverse that needs addressing. . Paleoguy

Ooops! Forgot to mention that this '81 Proof has a strong DDO. It's really prominent in the lettering.. Paleo
