By the way what sort of extra premium over and above the normal numismatic retail price of these coins do these cracks bring to the table?

It's hard to say since there is nothing to compare to. The counterbrockage error by itself is exceptionally rare and quite valuable. In most cases, die cracks do little, if anything, to numismatic value. In this case however, they identified a previously unidentifiable coin. This is a rare circumstance in which the two coins together are worth more than they would be separately. In the end though, I just can't bring myself to put this pair up for sale...I like 'em too much!

Those are awesome 1900 IHC's, 1900Indian! I'm really lovin' the first one especially.  I'm guessing its MS65RB?

Thanks guys for the comments on the 1900 IH! Here is the one Indian head that started it all!  It was a gift to me from my uncle but belonged to my grandfathers collection before he passed..
