It turned out to be from Taiwan! Now...what is it worth? anything? I really am interested I knowing what metal it is made of. Any ideas? Report this Post to the Staff

That would be the copper-coloured 1 yuan, rather than the 5 yuan. 1 yuan coins that "look like this" are made of aluminium-bronze. As for value, I'm afraid the answer is "not much". The 1 yuan is the smallest coin in everyday circulation, with a face value equivalent to about 3 US cents. NGC database page.
