Quote:I'll throw in another vote for LWC's! That thread would take a while, especially if you did one day for each mint. Probably a good idea, since we are guaranteed a lot of participation in that one. We would need to limit it to one date/mint per day to slow it to a readable pace!

I agree with jbuck. There are so many dates P/D/S combinations that this thread would be like the never ending story. I would just stick with LWC and any errors in the series would be fun to see.

If we did 50 Days of LWC, that would be lots of pictures I need to take soon. Maybe have 1st day 1909 VDB's and 2nd day 1909 no VDB. So, that would make it 51 Days of LWC. If we did a Type set (7070 or other), that also would be around 50 Days of Types.

Quote: Moe-- you gonna show off again? Of course!! Was there any question about this? Part of the problem of Lincoln Wheat Cents (I love 'em, believe me!) is this is the Classic US Forum, and the Lincoln Cents (yes, Wheat cents too) are considered Modern US Cents. If we do LWCs, we would have to do it on the Modern US Forum.

Color me in on either the LWC's or Walkers. I think a short warm up with the Flying Eagles would be great too!

I have several "Walker" half dollars in my collection. I don't have pics/scans of them however; I have four that are borderline AU/BU, 1943 and a 1944 if memory serves me correctly, plus a handful of dates that are circulated.
I will have to scan them and post their images.

Another major contributing factor is I have pictures of my 7070 coins but I don't have all my Lincoln Wheats or my Walking Liberty half dollars. (I should, but it just takes so long...) Decisions, decisions... (But, no matter what is chosen, we WILL get to all the Classic US coins eventually...and then ...We start all over again!!)

We have plenty of time to do the Lincolns. Bring on the Walkers, followed by the 7070.

If you did Lincolns, you could break them up by decade. For example, "XX Days of Teens Lincolns". Then one day for each mint would probably come out to roughly 30 days or so.
