I was in the hospital. Thats why I have been gone for so long.

Does this coin have and value above melt?

Nice MS coin but has a fingerprint that will probably get worse over time. You might rinse in acetone. But no, there is really no premium unless you count the copper value. I save rolls of the older BU coins just for the heck of it...maybe one day they'll bring a buck.

Pre 82 pennies are regularly being sold now on ebay for about 1.8/ea due to copper content.

I've got a bit of a setup that culls all pre-82s, also works GREAT for finding nice , shiny pre-82 pennies. So far I've found one 1957 MS penny!
