If you don't mind me asking and I hope I'm not out of line in asking this, what was your budget for this set?

lol I started with a budget in mind before I had ever even shopped for for most of the coins and quickly saw that my budget I had in mind considering the condition I was wanting just wasn't going to happen. So I then gave myself 500 per coin to spend (Ha!) and then decided I could rework my initial numbers to work with me instead of against me, I would say I have 500 to spend on this hole, if I spent much less (which I did with alot of the coins) I had extra money to add to the 500 for another hole. For example the commems, I paid no more than 30 bucks for any of them (I think anyhow) so that left alot of money to add to the the 500 per coin for the copper coins (which I have to be honest I dont think many of them was priced under the 500 mark). I figured I had 30-40 years to finish the set so was no reason to buy fillers that I didn't want just to fill a hole, I would just save up until I could afford a coin I liked in the grade I thought was acceptable. I went with modern commems just because I dont really like commems anyway and I do not think there needs to be 4 holes for commems in the Dansco 7070 for half dollars, but they put them there so I figured I would atleast fill them, so I bought some PR69 moderns and filled the holes. Anyhow I beleive when the dust settles and the album is complete I will either be really close to or maybe even a little under the budget I had figured I would spend on the whole album (atleast thats what I keep telling myself). I do have a few coins that I will probably upgrade but the only reason the coins are in there filling the holes now is because these coins were already in my collection and I just placed them in the album when I first started it thinking I would probably upgrade them first but the early coppers just captured my attention and I have been dealing with them just about the whole month because I started seeing just how few and far between nice coins were on the market and figured it wouldn't be any better in 5 years so I better get the ones I liked now and can always find nice silver dollars or Seated quarters

Very nice set, Bryan!

The Dansco 7070 is a lot of fun to build. I sold my complete set about a year ago to fund the purchase of some British Victorian coins and other miscellaneous stuff. I have now started another 7070 with an eye towards higher quality coins than the former set. That Draped Bust Large Cent is gorgeous!!!
