Franklin proofs have been my most recent passion. Finding quality early cameo's are especially difficult. Anybody else out there with any cameo Franklin's?

I have a complete set of Franklin Proofs, but only a couple are what I would classify as Cameo. They're tough to come up with...

I just recently, opened a sealed 62 proof set and was horrified to see there was some discoloration on the back of my Franklin! All of the coins had some sort of splotch on them, was a sad discovery. Here I thought I might of had some nice cameo proofs. Will these sell for only melt now ?

Depends on what the discoloration is as to wether it will detract or not.

I have a number of proofs, and they are lovely, but none are cameo.

And I have to point this out. It is NOT might of had, it is might've had, which is a contraction of might have. I see people do that all the time and it really drives me nuts.

I have this one, graded PR-68 DCAM by PCI. The grade is probably optimistic by at least 1 point and the reverse might not meet DCAM standards at PCGS, but it is certainly an attractive coin!

This was just a test with my camera. I will post more after a trip to the bank.

The obverse is a little better than the reverse. It's not the best cameo but will have to do for now.

I know this wasn't a question but I saw all the remarks and thought it might help.
A great product for fixing scratches on holders and capsules, pretty much any hard plastic/acrylic surface in NOVUS 2 Scratch remover. I use it on my holders and mint sets all the time. I try to be as careful as possible but somehow I always mark them up and my three year old "Bear" does his share as well. It worked better than I anticipated. Also if you have any CD Restorer you can probably use that as well but test it on something you really don't mind if it don't come out perfectly.
Now to the topic at hand. I bought some Morgans off a gentleman off ebay that happened to live two towns over. I wound up going to his home to see his other coins for sale, The Morgans were PQ, well most of them, Then he says in a causal, it ain't nothing kind a way, I have some Franklin's too, then pulls out this roll of Proof 63 Franklin's Amazing! All DCAMs The fields were like mirrors with these crystal clear Icy designs. Or what every you call it. For a minute their I almost thought they were fake cause they looked so good. I would of bought one but he pulled out a roll of 55's FBL's. I went with the 55. I need to go back and get one of those 63's. Hes only into Italian coins though. His Italian collection has some of the most beautiful toning I've ever seen. He has to have a trick of some kind with the strength and pattern of the toning. I've never seen so many colors on a coins. And in perfect patterns. Almost like he used another small coin with some chemical on it, put it in the sleeve with other coin so it would react over time. IDK but impressive to say the least. If anyone would like his info send me a message and I'll forward it to him or just give you his E-Bay Name.
Thanks for reading. I'll post a pic of the 55 I got shortly.
