The clover behind first Jewel in crown is not there in a No LCW portrait. The LCW is worn away on this coin and NGC should know that!

I believe that if you bought it from Heritage they will make things right.

Heritage Auctions did agree to take the coin back :). Although I was blown off by the customer service rep,
I kicked and screamed and managed to find someone higher up, who was very gracious to make things right :).

I read the fine print on the NGC website, and if they misattribute a "variety", I dont think they give you a refund.

Phew...a close call for a noob like me! :)

Glad you worked it out Danlos.
It does help to deal with a firm that cares about their clients. I'm almost sure Heritage goes back to NCG for this. I wonder how it would have gone with an ICCS flip. ?

Nice catch, however TPGs are not perfect. These guys are humans who get paid by the amount of coins they grade, meaning they push through the most coins in the shortest time possible. They mess up all the time...

Have some credible proof of that? (Not just someone else randomly posting it on a forum) I have asked for proof of this at least a half dozen times on various forums and never gotten any.
