Anyways, my 1883 is interesting to me because I bought it 2 years ago in an NGC MS-63 slab, it was blast white. After spending 2 years in the DANSCO album, it obtained lots of orange and blue toning. Nothing else shows any signs of further toning and some of those were toned before I put them in there. I would think a coin that has already started to tone would tone easier than a full blast white one Report this Post to the Staff
biggfredd Rest in Peace United States 9104 Posts	Posted 06/30/2011 3:12 pm Just the opposite. If the coin is blast white (or red) because previous toning was removed, the surface is now 100% reactive. Previous toning acts as a barrier to new exposure. Report this Post to the Staff
