"Got my butt kicked"   I wanted to update photos on this one. Anyways, my 1883 is interesting to me because I bought it 2 years ago in an NGC MS-63 slab, it was blast white. After spending 2 years in the DANSCO album, it obtained lots of orange and blue toning. It's the most dramatic toning change of any of my coins. Before:   After:

WOW, the only coin that shows any thing remotely that looks like toning in my album is my silver State Quarter. Nothing else shows any signs of further toning and some of those were toned before I put them in there. I would think a coin that has already started to tone would tone easier than a full blast white one

Just the opposite. If the coin is blast white (or red) because previous toning was removed, the surface is now 100% reactive. Previous toning acts as a barrier to new exposure.
