My concern is; if they are charge $55 per ounce will these ever really be worht this much if silver doesn't preform. I don;t think these will be as sought after if the silver market falls off, and even if they are soguth after they won't be worth much more than the silver price.

Thats a very valid concern.
But at the same time, these are the collector version, not bullion version. So they will be loosely tied to the Silver market, but I dont think it will be dollar for dollar.

Yep, sluggish response again from the US Mint site as predicted. This has happened the past two times and then magically it gets snappy again. I think we'll all be fine.

My ad called in and got 1 order number in the 5 thousands. I jsut got through online and the order number in in the high 8 thousands. estimating how many people got in before me I would say 5,000 are gone

Order placed. And yes with every mouse click the site was getting slower and slower..

I got a 10000+ number, so it looks like a lot of people are getting these in the first few minutes..

Now if the increase the 2011's to 50k or so these will then become the key coins of the series just as the bullion 2010's are the key coins of that series... |

Thanks fox. I have 3 1/2 sets of the bullion versions. do you(CCF) think it would be a good idea to sell off that extra 1.5 and just stick with 2 sets of both bullion and collectors?

I'm in, didn't even experience a slow down, logged on and completed order within 30 seconds. It was the fastest that I have had to date!
