lol. maybe he realized it was plastic and was too embarrassed to post the result. so he made up an elaborate story of how it got lost. and now we called him out on it and decided to leave the earth. hmm.

This type of nonsense gets you going for a while...before it begins to smell funny.

I would love to believe that someone has a windfall placed into their lap, although most of the time it is a relative who unfortunately passes away (supposedly), or who stumbles upon an abandoned farm house, etc...

We can all dream...it's becoming harder to believe anything that you cannot hold in your hand.

All of this happened at the same time as other 4 figure coins were being listed on ebay. But, now I can't seem to find that thread.
Rest in Peace

I remember that thread scooby. I commented on it and then it went "poof". I am guessing the moderators deemed it as advertisement.

Interesting story. I go to precious metals forums on occasion because I think the views are so extreme they are funny. Lots of the people there post about the precious metals they acquire. The more paranoid ones like to post their purchases also, but they always follow up with a story about a boating accident that caused a total loss of their purchase. I guess they think that will help them avoid the impending government confiscation of all precious metals.
