Frosty! Nice reverse marred by an MS62 obverse.

See what you mean, the owner says '64 all day long. (actually I sort of see) the pic didnt come out well,on the obverse. Here's another pic .The marks will not allow more than '62?

The new obverse pic is much clearer, but I wouldn't go over 63 for it. The gouge near the ear is much too plain, even if small, to go higher. The first obverse pic looked like it had much more on the cheek.

thanks,Dave The pics were a quick offhand shot at the coin show. This thing has been around the shows, lately ,and no takers. It is frosty and would have looked better if I went outside. (except for the marks)

I'll take a gamble and say it could get a MS-64.

Newbie thoughts, are 62-63, just a few too many marks on the face. Still a beauty though!

It's a 62, but since it's an 85-cc it would be given the ole 'cc bump' and end up in a 63 holder with pcgs/ngc. I have been told by a former grader that the reverse can only give a coin a 1/2 grade bump, never a full point.

I would love to have it. I would say MS60, if a person could see it in hand or had clearer pictures maybe MS62.

Gotta remember that many of these were GSA and these GSA's were some of the worst MS Morgans I have ever seen.
This coin is not nearly as butchered as many.

Hey sandpaper, I been around. Just haven't been posting much lately. Been reading more of the posts and just kind of hanging out.
