This doesn't look like Machine Doubling. It looks like the plating split. Nice coin.

i agree with pyrbob, split plating

im no expert, but form what I've seen, split plating is VERY common among error coins especially capped dies and brockages.

its worth about $6-8.

I would agree with Adam on the value range. It might see $10-15 with a full date and mintmark.
