Another day another dollar. Thomas Edison illuminated us all with his light bulb.

Having lived most of my life in the Pacific Northwest, and some time in Astoria Oregon, this coin had some personal significance to me. The 2004 Lewis and Clark dollar was nearly sold out with 5,996 short of maximum mintage allowed by congress.

The 2005 Marine corps 230th Anniversary dollar has a handsome design that appeals to many Americans, so much so they increased the maximum mintage allowed.

This one really has a bold look in the proof.

The Franklin commemorative has grown on me a lot. I think it is a good candidate for my 7070 commemorative dollar slot.

As stated earlier proof coins really pop when there is lots of field surface, this 2006 Franklin Founding Father has so much that there is little to show as proof. Still a good design and a popular issue.
