I'll meet ya all at the local watering hole! I'll buy the first round, just look for the guy wearing the red baseball cap that says I.C.C.S. is #1. Glenn

Good luck to both of you!
I pushed in a half dozen MS pieces and one AU through a friend who was submitting as well. I'm curious how it goes but I have practically nothing in them but the time to sit on them for the past 40 years. I'm stuck at home for other reasons and I'll have to live vicariously. I've left bids on some group lots of mostly moderns that I lack so I don't care if I get 'em or not. Actually looks like a fairly well rounded sale.

I can only drool over the selection & grade of the large & small cents available... Every last one of them is way above me lol!!

I would like to go but just to far from Vancouver, I worked it out and just to fly to Toronto and stay 3 days at the hotel with meals it was around $1,300.00 canadian. So I'll stay home and bid on the internet by not flying there it gives me an extra 1,300.00 to spend happy bidding. Like snek has mentioned its a very high end auction and there are several gems waiting for a new home to go to.

Tell you what we will do papeldog...glenzy1 is willing to buy the first round for all of us which will cost him about $2700 as a whole bunch of us were planning to take him up on his offer. We will refrain from the first round and glenzy1 can pay for your flight and hotel therefore saving himself about $1400 which he could use towards bidding for another coin or two. Everyone wins! LOL!!

Can someone tell me where they get the Estimates from, I've been watching the auction the past bit and noticing almost everything is going way under estimates many of them a few thousand dollars less on an individual coin.....

The guestimates are the full trend prices derived from C.C.N. Trends' bi-monthly publication. Last night (Session 1) I bid on 10 items and won 2: >I.C.C.S., 1903, "Large H" nickel, MS-63 >I.C.C.S., 1900, dime, MS-63. Glenn

At this point, I'm starting to think "trends" = market value x 2 :)....
Nice on the 1900 dime Glenn :)...was going to buy it but held back, to win all the double dates instead ;)...and the 1886 dime varieties in EF ;)

Good Target! Those 1886 dimes and quarters above the grades> VF-20 are brutally difficult to find and getting tougher each year. I'm suspecting you may be hoarding them Danlos, could that be true! Glenn

LOL...could be ;)...i didnt know just how rare they were in EF+ until I looked at the ICCS pop report :)...got a small 6 and large knob 6 in EF for $250 and $350 :D...nowhere near 1875 or 1884 prices but just as scarce :).
I still cant' believe your AU58 1886 6/3 quarter buy...wow...my EF 1886 6/3 quarter is stuck somewhere in Canada Post limbo :(...
Now if I could only find a 1885 5/3 quarter in EF+ :D....
