What's so special about this year? I was looking at greysheet and bank rolls of this are a $230 bid? I'm not that into pennies to know what's up. Can someone please inform me?

Thanks
Rest in Peace

People are looking for a S over D for 1946S. My guess.

I too never heard of that but when I looked in a book called "Looking Through Lincoln Cents" there is 5 pages about the 1946 Cent. Also, noted is the fact that this year there are 3 different S's used on that coin. Also noted is the rare 46S over D and a 1946S-1D0-005 in LIBERTY some doubling on the reverse also.
Guess there is a good reason to check out all the 1946S's you can.

So that could make OBW worth a tad bit more huh? Little bit out of my price range for that roll. I just stumbled across one since I bought some rolls from a seller on ebay. He had this one and I couldn't believe the price on it.

There's also the 1946S "inverted S". It'll make you go cross-eyed looking for it until you finally see the differences!
