For me it is the same "nickname" I have used everywhere on the internet, a combination of my first and last name.

I took the names of my two favorite hockey teams, the Washington Capitals (Caps) and (n) the Chicago Blackhawks (Hawks). We're not totally out of the Stanley Cup playoffs, but not doing too well.

Interesting question. My last (family) name is Student. Facebook did NOT like it - they said that I was a fraud. Potential spammer. Vincent is my middle name. Matthew is my first name. So, matthewvincent has become the easiest choice for me. Various permutations are used, be NEVER with "student."
PS.
I am now on Facebook with "matthewvincent."

Joe is my name, I like coins, 85 is for 1985 I'm 27 years old. Nothing creative. I prefer people on the web who use there real names for authenticity. Albeit creative names are fun.

Alright, when I was a young "lady's man" my aunts would call me a "cute little stud". All through my younger years, "stud" was incorperated into many of my email addresses and forum names. It just sort of stuck. Even though I have since grown up a bit, I still use it for my forum names not so much my emails though. The 722 is in rememberance of a very close friend/cousin that I lost at a very young age. So, stud722 has been the screen name for years now.

wireman...Because I have been a electrical contractor for 30 years. An inside wireman is another name for a elecrician. And 09 because I played hockey for many years and my jersey was number 9.

Named in honor of my Grandfather who mentored me in many areas of life and was the one who taught me how to think instead of just being a part of the herd mentality.
The 42 is... well... it takes Deep Thought to answer that.

Mine is a conjunction of my first and last name and my birthday. It is the only name I have ever used and have had it since Al Gore invented the Internet.
