Since the thread seems to have reserected itself I'll take the lazy way out and cut and paste my answer from a similar thread in the general forum.

Worked for the ministry of defense for a while building all sorts of nasty things. Moved on to avionics then quit and found a job in the oil field services industry where I have been for the last 20 something years. Now life is simple the phone rings I get on a plane and do what ever the client tells me for as long as it takes.. Then rinse and repeat

Like trout I seem to have been around.

Let's see (trying to be chronological): sauna manager, construction laborer, cotton-picking (literally) laborer, tank commander (not in the US army), mountain climber/rescuer, salad bar manager, substitute dance instructor, cab driver, and (currently) college professor.

Forgot to add (a big part of my present life): a dad!

Just graduated from college with a Bachelors in Architecture and now am considering law school. Great thread, I'm shocked there is so many engineers .... perhaps coin collecting requires the same methodical approach as engineering does.
