My favorite coin of all, the Walking Liberty half, looks best with a nice patina to highlight the details. I find it difficult to make out the detail on an MS-class Walking Liberty half, even when the detail is there. On the other hand, I love the look of a pristine, untouched American Silver Eagle. Even on early wheat's. you say its nice to see that they have wear and what not but to me the fact that someone took the time to hold on to the coin to keep it pristine is more impressive to me. also looks amazing when you look at it. so uncirculated is for me.
