Today I traded in some sets today
1963 p&d mint sets not in ogp
1964 p&d mint sets not in ogp
1964, 65, 66 circulated sets
For a Lincoln Chronicles set....did I do OK?

unholy I think you got a good deal, considering the fact you really wanted that set, makes it all the more worthwhile to you

I just looked at the Red Book prices, and if I looked correctly, it sounds like you got a pretty good deal to me. I'm not sure what the grey sheet is for them, but it's probably not that far off of the Red Book. I got a chronicle set a month or so ago for my son who turned two last year. 2009 is his birth year and I thought he'd like it one of these days. Very cool set.

I think you made a pretty good deal, especially since you were able to liquidate coins you did not want for coins that you do want.

I don't know what the lincoln set is worth, but grey sheet bid on the 63 set is 40 and 40 for the 64. Not sure what circulated year sets are -- but I'd say they are worth melt + face value for the non silver. Not sure if that helps.

A dealer might give you a percentage off of bid for the mint sets - or pay closer to melt on them.

unholy, I just assumed you did, because you wanted to trade in silver sets and I know if I really wanted something I as well would have did the same thing its the passion gotta love it

Very nice deal! I see some Lincoln Chronicles sets for sale on ebay for around $125-$130.
