Question About Dumping Dimes That You Didn't Open

murrellington Pillar of the Community United States 3276 Posts	Posted 07/27/2011 4:38 pm So I edge search dimes, and when they are in paper rolls I bust them open and dump in a coin counter. however, when they are in the plastic rolls, I just edge search through the plastic, I don't actually open them. for those of you who do this method, what do you say to the bank when you turn in an almost full bux of unused dimes? I would think they would not be that happy that you are turning in an almost full box to where only 3-4 rolls are gone. So, what do you guys say? Report this Post to the Staff

If I were you I would just re-roll them into the free wrappers from the bank, then there will be very little if no questions when dumping. Report this Post to the Staff

Bowfin Valued Member United States 296 Posts	Posted 07/27/2011 7:26 pm I do it all the time. Just mix them in with the ones you did roll, within reason. I also DO NOT dump them at a bank that is also supplied by Brinks. I dump them at a bank supplied by CWI (the paper wrapped rolls). The opposite is true with paper rolls. Every now and then a get a box of brand new 2011's. I don't want them. I just mix them in too. They get dumped at the Brinks supplied banks. In 3 years I have yet to be asked about this.
