I agree, although I am not a big Lions fan, I think they will be a pretty good team this year.

Hardest weeks are going to be 1 and 2 with all the players moving around the league.
Going to be fun watching everyones strategy. Do you pick the heavily favored teams early just to get by...forcing you to take weaker teams later on? Good luck all!

I'm not really sure what football is, but I'll try. I live near Dallas... do they have a team? Oh well, just let me know when to pick and I'll play along. Thanks!

I've had the Cowboys thrown at my head for 49 years, the first card sent to my parents when I was born was about "The Newest Little Dallas Cowboy." I even worked where I could see Texas Stadium from my office. True I did have to lean back in my chair to look around the A/C unit on the roof, but I could see it. I'm not a big football fan, I prefer Formula 1 Racing and Sumo, but I do know the sport. My wife was so happy that I didn't watch football, only to find out that I couldn't miss Practice, Qualifying and the Formula 1 race 16 weekends each year, but by the 4th year, she knew as much as me about the cars, drivers and tracks. By the way, when the contest actually starts (first week of September), I will be starting it as a new thread for the contest itself (ending this thread once I finalize the list of players). Be sure to look for that new thread next month. Think of this thread as the sign up and then once we start, there will be a new "contest-only" thread where picks and updates etc will be posted.
