Is This A 2000 $1 Mule Error Coin? - Coin Community Forum

AaronG Pillar of the Community Australia 518 Posts	Posted 08/03/2011 06:26 am Hey Guys I'm new to this forum and I am holding a 2000 $1 Mob Of Roos coin, It does not have a double rim but I realised that the side of the coin is very round rather then flat. Is this a mule error coin? Thanks Also my camera isn't focusing on the coin so I can not get a clear picture. Report this Post to the Staff

It is entirely a matter of how strong the strike is. The harder the strike, the squarer the edges. This is why the coin from the mint sets used to have squarer edges than the circulation issues (and the 2000 $1 is a great example of this). Report this Post to the Staff
