Are the 2010 5c meant to be rare or something?

aarong,
I got the $2500 in 50c from various banks in my local area over the 2 weeks. I get all sorts of different amount depending on how much they can spare and if I've planned ahead (normally between $100 and $400 each time). Most of the time I can take them back and swap them over. Most of the banks in the area know who I am by now as I've done it on and off for a while.

Haha horse. I saw a 2010 50c uncirculated go on ebay for $13. From what I see all the 2010 50c coins are aUnc. Maybe worth keeping?

aarong. I have only found one 2010 5 cent in $310 worth of coins, and coinmantim has only found 1 in $470 To me that makes them pretty rare. Might just be something to do with how they are released (I have no idea about how coins are released), so there may be heaps soon, but I am keeping my one for now!

aarong. couldn't be bothered with keeping the 2010 50's. My sister was interested so I saved a bag for her and she gave me a bag of 5c in exchange. Amongst them was a 1972 for the collection. :) Thank you very muchly :)

Horse, If I had plastic bags of 2010 50 cent pieces, I would have gone through all of them look for CHU. The 50 cent piece, because of its size and open spaces are extremely hard to find without bagmarks.

Gecko, I have only noticed one 2010 5 cent on ebay. I think it went for around $1.50 which is not all that much, but someone wanted one enough to buy it. I will be holding onto any more I find (at least until they become more common).

This thread has inspired me to do some noodling so the other week I got $50 worth of coin to go through. I didn't find anything very exciting. Probably the highlights were a 1972 10c and a 1991 10c. However I am making up a few collections of 5c and 10c so I will do some more noodling and hopefully stumble across some 1972 5c and 1985 10c.

I am going to hit the bank 2mrw. Not with a mask though! usual order of $20 of 5c, $20 of 10c, $60 of 20c and then some 50c if I feel rich :-) Bought a robot today to help with noodling, step two is now under way (already have the camera setup). There is a small matter of image recognition software, but I will get to that when the time comes! For now my brain will suffice.
