I admire your enthusiasm. This hobby needs more collectors like yourself. Looking forward to hearing about your finds...

While I agree the siver content will be great personally Id be more enthused about all the unsearched items that will show up keeping in mind everything in there was important enough for him to put aside I think you will find more treasures than simple dollar values can cover :)

Again, I totally agree with DvntMstr's slant on the whole thing => it's far more than just some money-in-your-pocket => it's now become your Great Grandfather's Time-capsule, "to you" .....
.... it doesn't get any cooler than that!

Updates should be warranted...and don't call him "Shirley".

Ooops, by the way => "him" is a "her" ... but yes, we really are all extremely interested in what you received => was it amazing, or was it a bit of a disapointment? => either way, we won't judge => it is merely in our nature to want to know if it was "Eureka", or if it was kinda like "my" collection (invaluable to me, the collector, but not all that valuable in "cash" terms) ...
anyway => ooowww, please tell-tell-tell .... what was found in Grand-Dad's time capsule?

OMG ITS TOMORROW! I CANT EVEN SLEEP!! which I probably should considering I've been awake since 6am Friday.. ( woke up..drove kid to daycare..school during day..worked 8pm to 7am..write essay..read chapters 3-6..4 assignments..work 11pm to 7am..type up essay..finish assignments..POST ON CCF! ) The terrible thing is I've been schedualed to work 7am-11am and then I have school from 1:15-6:15..my apt buzzer is broken so the guy can't even buzz for my wife to answer..and I hear UPS doesn't let their drivers use personal phones to call the customer to let them know they are at your apt door..LIKE
