If I were you I think I would feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas.
When yoy get the coins, send your aunt some flowers or something. Be sure to let her know that you got them so she doesn't worry. I'm an aunt -- I would worry.....

Sweet, I zoomed it up and it looks nice. Now DON'T go banging them together and cleaning them up. Just get them safely out of there using two fingers on the edges to pick them up one at a time. Get them in 2x2's or some safe individual coin holders and I stress SAFE coin holders and then start doing the inventory. Bully for you!

Oh and by the way, that tin can right away strikes me as being collectible by itself.

So? ... was there anything nice tucked away in Grandfather's mustard tin?
... man, I must admit that the mustard tin alone is very cool (your Grandfather has already come-up big as far as the onlooking crowd is concerned) ...
NOTE => My Granny left me her coin collection, so I'm having very nice, retro feelings of that time in my life (40 years ago) ... you'll always appreciate the coins ... please try to hold-on to them rather than selling them, for the "cool-factor" heavily outweighs the monetary factor => trust me!
