nothing wrong with this coin I just want share the pics but didnt show the colors as in hand . Anyway !    This coin got a amazing red and yellow toning and some spots where the 2 colors mix ! |

Different people and different tastes !
I collect toned coins myself so it looks cool to me ! I know on the pics it looks more like durty then toned lol !

If you are happy that is all that matters. I like toned Morgans and silver coins in general, but I have never really looked at a nickel and though its toning was pretty. It is different I give you that.

I know the morgans are the most famous toned but clad and copper also tone nice sometimes ! I have some amazing rainbow toned halves and some blue,green toned LMC's that are just awesome . Zincolns get some serious purple ,blue,green and yellow toning , I just love them ! I even have a pink rousie dime lol! |

Thanks ! The album is a regular cardboard folder but after notice the coins in one of my old whitman's was geting kind of rust I now bag it in ziplock bag trying to keep it safe from enviroment damage ! I cant help because I just love folders even when know its not the ideal its a lot easier to organize and is nice to see the coins next to eachother ! Do you think ziplock bags help ?

I have seen a lot of trapped moisture damage from the old fashioned type but maybe they have improved these. I personally keep my best coins in airtight capsules and the rest in 2x2 foldover type with a larger circle than the coin I put inside. Maybe somebody else knows if the newer type folders are safer, especially in a ziplock bag. Best of luck with them. LATE EDIT: I forgot to mention this, if you do use these type, I hope you are using a cotton cloth at least to push the coins into the slots. Some people just push them in with a thumb and this will leave oils on the coins surface and a fingerprint will eventually appear discoloring the obverse somewhat. I am sure you know this. I just hate to see Jefferson nickels get hurt!  Edited by TNG

Toning isn't my thing. I consider coins that are toned to be damaged.

You are right The Nickel Guy always use something to avoid contact with the coin as its hard to push in the hole !
The force I have seen many toned coins in pcgs holders graded as high ms , btw check about the monster toned morgans even a common date can worh thousands depending the kind of toning as rainbow etc ! Every person have a different point of view on the same item most of the time ! You see ?! You dont like , there are collectors who only collect toned coins , I collect both !
