1992-D Quarter Error? Plain Edge. Please Help!

I noticed the edge is not "reeded" like normal quarters. it is plain. I know it might look like this if it were just really worn down, but it is only a 1992, and the face of the quarter itself is hardly worn at all. thanks in advance for your help. Yokozuna Pillar of the Community United States 4618 Posts	Posted 08/16/2011 7:25 pm I did a test of a State Quarter about a month ago and I spooned the reeding down to the edge of the rim in about 45 minutes. It wasn't as smooth as the coin above, but with another 45 minutes, I could have had it nice and smooth. The flattened reeding didn't cause any distortion of the coin. I know you didn't find my coin because I'm still working on it. I'm going to try and make a simple ring out of it. ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting?
