So there is this auction show on Discovery "Auction Kings, gallery 63 out of Atlanta Georgia", and they had this 125 year old antique gambler pocket watch made of .9999 silver, complete with a decorative chain that linked to a mini pistol. Made for the female gambles of the late 1800's. A Swiss watch from Geneva, and it brought 2400 seems like....

I have not been able to find a picture of it online, as I thought some of you watch collectors may have some pics or info. I just thought that would be a cool different type of silver piece to own, esp with all that unique history that should no doubt increase in value in time....
Rest in Peace

An obvious fake, surprised they didn't catch it.

One of my customers had a nice pockety watch inside a $20 Lib.

This one?

GAMBLER'S POCKET WATCH AND SINGLE-SHOT PISTOL

* Impeccable pocket watch, playing-card symbol watch chain and coffin-case with hidden pistol, circa 1880s. A truly one-of-a-kind antique with the original case.

Sorry, this was 40 years ago. I used to have a Peace dollar with a knife blade and pair of scissors in it.

125 years ago, they didn't have the technology to make 999, much less 9999, silver. Even if they did, it's unlikely they'd use pure silver, which is too soft for daily use.

I agree. Had they said that it was sterling silver, though, that would have seemed more reasonable.

That is it, wow nice find Whytlash....

I bet you found that picture at gallery 63's archives sales or something?

Notice the pistol end is disguised in a coffin box like shape with a skull an cross bones design, to keep it concealed....
