The reeded edge has a groove running through the middle of the reeds with a series of dots and gaps. km#28.2. My catalog (2009 edition) merely notes 'Reeded. NOTE: Error' it doesn't mention the 'w/o security' so I assume that's what they mean. km#28.3. Strangely enough when examining my 10 cent coins I noticed that my 1971 Heaton has a plain edge where the catalog says 'Reeded' for the series. Report this Post to the Staff
