To me it just looks like it has lived a long hard life and not a mint error at all

does have silver value, prolly about $12 to $13

I believe that was damage done after the coin left the mint.

It does look post minting damage. Does there appear to be any added metal? This might have come from a die crack.

Next to the G looks like a flat piece of silver but it is raised . Like someone put a glob on silver on top of it. Thanks for all of your help.
