10 Yen coin from Japan. I believe they are still used in circulation today.

This one is dated Heisei Year 10, which converts to 1998.

Yep. "Heisei" is the reign-name for the current emperor, Akihito. The Japanese 10 yen is one of the last remaining solid bronze circulation coins in the world.

I wouldn't think so, as far as "future investment potential" is concerned. They are, however, worth searching through for earlier-date, high-grade coins, which are getting quite pricey now.
